Circus of sound

For this task, I was asked to create an album cover for a music industry called circus of sound. The circus of sounds had eleven artist and there singles. before sketching out my idea, i had to listen to the music which was classic and dark kind of music. I done research on different album covers and the theme i wanted to go for was a circus theme.

Typography Poster/Billboards and Tshirt

I was given a quote from my tutor and was expected to make a typography design from the quote. The quote was "If You Can Count Your Money You Done Have A Billion Dollars" By J.Paul Getty

Biography

Jean Paul Getty (December 15, 1892 – June 6, 1976) was an American industrialist. He founded the Getty Oil Company, and in 1957 Fortune magazine named him the richest living American, whilst the 1966 Guinness Book of Records named him as the world's richest private citizen, worth an estimated $1,200 million.  At his death, he was worth more than $2 billion.

Getty was an avid collector of art and antiquities; his collection formed the basis of the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, California, and over $661 million of his estate was left to the museum after his death.

Born into George Getty's family in the petroleum business in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he was one of the first people in the world with a fortune estimated at over one billion U.S. dollars.

Before i started creating my poster i did some research in typography posters shown bellow which inspired me in creating my own design.

By looking at other typography designs, i was able to get an idea of what to create and in order to express the quote in a typographical way, I did some research about J. Paul Getty who was an american billionaire and he involves around money. A dollar bill came to my mind which would relate to the quote.

with the use of a dollar font type, colour and shape of a dollar bill I was able to design my quote to look like the following poster below .

Youth tv station

I was given a task to create an internet TV channel for the young age. I had to come up with a name for the TV channel which was called E-MEDIA.

 E-MEDIA (Exclusive Music Channel)

The theme of the youth station would be exclusive videos of musicians, performances, interviews and a day in the life of any famous artists

My idea for an internet television youth station would be a music channel of different genres. Contents of the site would include exclusive performance, interviews and following of music artists. There are various internet television youth stations which are a success like SBTV, GRIMEDAILY and World Star Hip-Hop. In order to be unique, the internet television youth station would have to be different from the ones out already. The branding of the website would be based around exclusive contents. The platform for the internet television includes the following:

·         Mobile and tablet application

Website

With the aid of creating a website, I would be able to show the content of the youth station world wide. The website would be users friendly and users would find it easy to navigate through the website.

The website would have six main sections (HOME PAGE, POP PAGE, HIP HOP PAGE, DNB and Grime PAGE). In more details, the website sections would include media contents like video and images of the artist. The features of the website would enable the user search for any artists of their choice, sort videos alphabetically, sort videos by date, sort videos by ratings, News Feeds and comments. My mission for this channel is to produce exclusive contents to all UK music fans, the demographic of this channel would be from the age range of 16-25 who are still keen about music.

 

Mobile and Tablet application

A mobile site would be created for the user to have access to the channel on their mobile phones. Basically the mobile website would be different to the one on pc. The image sizes would be smaller and there wouldn’t be any flash contents on the mobile site because not all mobile phones supports flash and it would be a disaster.

Tablet application would also be available on the website for the user to download which would give them an easy access to the channel and if there’s any updates on the channel, they would be informed.

Future plans for this channel would be to expand in the US then Europe, Asia and Africa
